Graduation and Celebrations

Today one of my friends graduated from University, congrats Cathy!! She wanted to create a classic day time look with a strong lip for something different. The graduation was at ten this morning so there is nothing worse than being too over the top with your makeup that early in the morning. You can have a soft day time look and then jazz the look up for the evening time by adding a strong lip or else darker eye shadow and black liner. It really is all about knowing what suits you and what your personal preference is.

For today’s look I used Mac Cosmetics eye shadows. I have created my own palette from my favourite colours. Its so handy! I used ‘Brulé’ a cream matte shadow as the base. I patted this over the lid. I then used ‘Wedge’ and ‘Espresso’ both brown matte shadows to build up the colour and shaded these at the edge of the eye lid. I used my new black liquid liner from L’Oreal which is so far working a treat. I used natural false eye lashes from Eylure. This brand of false lashes are my all time favourite!! I am obsessed with lashes so be prepared for a full scale post about them coming up. I used number 116. These are really natural but still give length. Lashes finish off your makeup and make you look more glamorous. I used duo glue when applying them, glue comes with these lashes too. I always pop it in my handbag in case my lashes fall off but thank goodness this has never happened to me.

I kept the eyes very simple as the lips were going to be the main focus of this look. Cathy had bought her lip liner and lipstick from Mac Cosmetics too. The lip liner used is ‘Current’ and lipstick ‘Diva’ both a plum purple colour. I think they would be perfect for the Christmas season. Lip liner is great because it stops the lipstick from bleeding and makes the lipstick last longer. I plan on going into Mac this week to have a look at some new lipsticks for Christmas. Keep you posted on my purchases. Sorry the images are not of the highest quality I forgot to put the flash on.

I have been so busy with college work so this post was very brief so over the weekend I am going to create loads of different looks for my blog. As we are getting into the festive season I hope you are looking forward to some fabulous eye makeup looks.

Happy Reading and Stay Fabulous,

Love K x
