Last night I decided its time to get started on Christmas looks as its officially December and the countdown is on to the big day itself. I love the festive season and what comes with celebrations….parties!! Today the look I am showing you is an eye makeup look I created with Naked 1 palette from Urban Decay. This is my favourite Naked palette and I cannot wait to get my hands on the third one. I decided I would use two different lipsticks and show how they can change a look by simply adding colour.
In this first picture I am wearing no lipstick. If I wanted to create the nude lip look with strong eyes I would add a lip gloss with a shimmer through it to finish off the look.
Here I used a Rimmel London red lipstick in shade 170 ‘Alarm’. I used a pink-red lip liner which really finished this look. I used Rimmel London 1000 kisses in shade 004 ‘Indian Pink’. I rarely wear lipstick so I often buy brands from chemists or else when my mom buys a shade and then when she gets home she doesn’t like it on her, it really is a win win situation.
Changing the lipstick really changes the look in my opinion. I normally never wear brown shades but I said I would experiment and I don’t thinks its too bad! This time I used a Mac lipstick (my mom didn’t like it so I got it…yay!) in ‘Hug Me’. This is a matte light brown lipstick. Again I used a Rimmel London lip liner 1000 kisses shade 050 ‘Tiramisu’.
Now for the fun part what I used for my eyes. I used only two colours from the Naked palette. I used ‘Buck’, a matte brown shadow all over the lid and shaded at the socket of my eye to define the look. I then used ‘Smog’, a bronze shimmer under the eye. I love using a shimmer under my eye as it makes them stand out. You can use this as a day time look or else use darker shadows to create a dramatic night time look. I used my They’re Real mascara and black liner on the water line of the eye. I kept the eyes simple and didn’t use liner on the lid of my eye or fake eyelashes. However if I was going to a party the lashes would be out!
Happy Reading and Stay Fabulous,
