I love nothing more than going for a facial or to a Spa for the day. To me this is how I truly relax, a time where you completely unwind and someone else looks after you. I would get regular facials every two months as to me looking after my skin is incredibly important. My regular would be Dermalogica as the products are amazing and so affordable. When I really want to spoil myself I lust after ESPA products. I can’t compare the quality to anything else I have tried.
Not every salon has ESPA as it is usually exclusive to Spa’s and is a high end luxury brand. For the times you can’t get to a Spa and you skin is in need here are a few of ESPA products that I like to use at home. If I could only have one ESPA product then their Refining Skin Polish would be my favourite. First of all, all ESPA products smell amazing which is a huge factor for me. You can smell the luxury! So what makes it so amazing you ask? It is a naturally brightening skin exfoliator that deeply cleanses, smooths and renews your skin.
‘A gentle exfoliating facial cream to sweep away dull and dry skin while it helps brighten and revitalise. Spherical Diatomaceous Earth exfoliate skin to help clear pores, lift impurities, balance uneven tone and stimulate cell renewal, while nourishing Rose Damascena and Shea Butter soften to refine, smooth and revitalise.’
This product is so gentle even on the most sensitive skin. The tiny micro beads work their magic to lift dead skin cells from the surface and to instantly brighten skin.
Next on my list for home ‘Day Spa’ treats is ESPA Pink Hair & Scalp Mud. Now when using this product make sure you are home for at least a few hours as you want this product to really sink into your hair. I love using hair masks when I am at home for the day or have no plans for the evening. I take a lot of care of my hair and use various hair oils and masks to protect it.
‘Using mineral rich red clays, this unique conditioning treatment mud mask leaves hair soft and smooth. Vitamin C-rich watercress and Apricot kernel oil soothes and nourishes your scalp, while the red clay stimulates circulation to help boost growth and strengthen and promote healthy, glossy, manageable hair.’
You hair will smell, look and feel amazing after using this product. It is expensive but after all your hair is worth it!
Now onto my favourite ESPA product for the body. I use ESPA Detoxifying Salt Scrub when my skin really needs a pick me up and a full body brightening. The sea salts in this detox body scrub gently exfoliate, sweeping away dull, dry and rough cells to clarify and detoxify for smooth, glowing skin.
‘Invigorating Grapefruit, Cypress and Eucalyptus stimulate circulation and help eliminate toxins and nourishing Sweet Almond Oil melts into skin to deeply hydrate and replenish.’
Looking for a Spa trip that will leave you feeling relaxed and recharge your batteries? Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa in Rosslare Co.Wexford would be my personal recommendation. Check out their SEASPA here.

The products in my photos are not the full size versions. I have gotten some of these as samples and some are from a gift set I got at Christmas so the retail prices I have mentioned are on the full size products.
