Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipstick & Lip Perfecting Base

Clarins lipsticks are possibly one of the best, if not the best on the market. Clarins kindly sent me a selection of their SS16 Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks and the shades are just beautiful. The first shade I wore at the weekend was 26 Hibiscus which is a soft pinky red shade. First impressions of the Joli Rouge Brilliant is that I love the feeling of these lipsticks on my lips. As it is a very cold February my skin is incredibly dry and my lips need as much moisture as they can get. You can see from the photo of me wearing the lipstick that it is a soft shade.

The shades in the Joli Rouge Brilliant collection are soft and feminine with an elegant sophisticated shine. In terms of lasting power they last for a few hours but fade evenly. However, Clarins have also released a new lip base product to help make their lipsticks last even longer, hooray! The Instant Light Lip Perfecting Base is a primer for the lips which creates a smooth base to ensure lipstick lasts and also looks it’s best. It’s a clear primer so can’t be seen on the lips which creates a smooth even base for your lipstick. Ideally it is a lip balm so you could get a cheaper version as it is quite expensive at €18.50.

Stay Fabulous,

Love Kate x
