Making a statement

Statement necklaces have to be my fashion must have of 2016. When I pack for a weekend away I nearly always pack at least two, if not three statement necklaces, you know just in case. They dress up any outfit, a cute tee, a wooly jumper or a plain dress, they actually go with everything. I feel bare when I don’t wear jewellery. In this post I am going to show you how I have styled some of my favourite statement necklaces but also where my favourite places are to shop for statement necklaces.

Where I like to shop for statement necklaces:

My Shining Armour – created by a kick ass #GirlBoss Nicki has the most amazing pieces, I want to buy them all! I think I own about 5 or 6 of her pieces. I’m secretly hoping Nicki names one of her necklaces after me! My favourite necklaces from My Shining Armour: Charlotte (Pictured below), Rosslyn and White Marble (I just bought it while writing this post).

Betty & Biddy – Another brand set up by fabulous Irish ladies Betty & Biddy has the largest collection of statement necklaces. My favourites are: Billie (I have already), Blair and Kitty which I wear non stop pictured below.

Glitz n’ Pieces – These girls are the biggest sweet hearts ever. Grace and Ellen are in their early 20’s, they set up Glitz n’Pieces as a college project and look at where it is now. These girls just show you what passion and determination are all about! Their statement necklaces are bright and super colourful. My favourite pieces are: Pearly White (pictured below), Freya and Dazzling Diamond.

The Dotty Lemon – This list has turned into my fave Irish ladies in the jewellery industry! Aisling is a sweetheart. We first started working together when she noticed my love for Quay Australia sunglasses. Did you know she is one of the very few Irish stockists for Quay Australia? Below I am wearing the Mellow Yellow necklace that Aisling sent me a few months ago. What’s my next purchase, the Rustic Romance Necklace.

Jennifer Wyrnne –  Jennifer is truly a lady in so many ways. She makes the most incredible hats. I have a family wedding next year and cannot wait to get one of her bespoke hats. If hats are not your style Jennifer also sells glitzy statement necklaces in her Powerscourt boutique as well as online. Jennifer kindly gifted me the Diana Necklace that is in the photo below.

Far Fetched Accessories – One of my favourite statement necklaces is from Far Fetched and I am wearing it below with my Kylie LipKit. They are currently working on their website but in the meantime you can buy from their Facebook site here.

Stella & Dot – You have been living under a rock if you haven’t heard of this company. The story behind why and how Stella & Dot started is very interesting. If you don’t know it you can read the story here. My boss, Marissa Carter very kindly gave me a beautiful necklace as a present. She also was given beautiful pieces from Stella & Dot Tara O’Connor and you can see more of her fabulous styling on her Facebook page here.

I think I should have just called this blog post Irish ladies who have the most fabulous statement necklaces for sale. Hope you enjoyed some of my favourites. If I have missed any brands I would love to hear what ones you love, always on the lookout for new statement necklaces. Tweet me @k8_kell.

Stay Fabulous,

Love Kate x
