New skincare products I’m loving

Skincare is my favourite element of beauty. I love how using one product can change the way your skin feels and looks. I can always tell from first use if I’m going to like a skincare product by the feel. This month I’ve introduced a few new products to my skin routine and I have been wearing less makeup during the day because of it.

Let’s start off with my favourite skin routine, multi masking. You might have seen last April I featured my Multi Making Technique on Xpose on TV3. It is when you apply different face masks to different problem areas of your skin.

I don’t think I have loved a beauty product more than The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask €25. All I can say is you all need to go out and buy it I’m not joking, it’s the best clay mask I have used! Ally to your t-zone and watch this mask absorb all of the excess oil from your skin. This mask is very strong so I recommend only applying on areas that are very oily. The Body Shop have brought out loads of new masks and I can’t wait to try them.

Next up on my mask list is a hydrating and exfoliating mask. I love a good hydrating mask as my skin can become very dry and flaky. With coming into winter we need to take extra care of our skin and make sure it is well hydrated because of the heating we will be using. I was recently sent this mask from Environ Skincare and it has passed the test and made it as a regular into my skin routine. AVST Hydrating Exfoliant Masque is an exceptional face mask specially designed to improve hydration while simultaneously removing excess oils from the surface of the skin. As I have combination skin this mask is perfect to apply all over my face as it will unclog my pores. In the lead up to a facial with extractions it’s good to prepare your skin by softening the pores and this product has worked wonders. I’ve used this product for the past 3 weeks and have noticed a huge difference already. I’m going to book myself in soon with Monica Tolan who is known for doing amazing facials with this brand in Dublin. Find your nearest salon stockist here.

I went to the launch of a new beauty brand into Ireland called BRYT skincare.  The story behind how these products were created came from such love and passion. I admire any person that creates a product that they feel incredibly passionate about. BRYT skincare have a 3 step process; Cleanse, Nourish & Protect. The first product I have tried from the range is from the Nourish process. I have been using their Calm Serum every day for a week now and it’s a great product. Serums are so import coming into winter so I thins product coming in handy. You can read more about the brand here and expect to see more on my blog from this brand.

I don’t like to try new cleansers because I love my Cetaphil Cleanser. I was introduced to Declaré skincare this year and when I say I have been blown away by every product I have used from the range this is no word of a lie. This cleanser is completely different to my cream Cetaphil cleanser. This is a powder cleanser that you mix with water to create a foamy lather. I like to use this cleanser when I’m not wearing makeup. It gives your skin a fresh clean feeling. The formula is incredibly gentle on your skin so sensitive skin ladies this is one for you!  You can get this Declaré Cleansing Powder on Meagher’s Pharmacy online.

I have saved the best till last! It’s not a NEW skincare product but it’s one you need if you suffer from acne. I get a lot of comments on how clear my skin is but that is from my mum introducing a skincare routine into my life from the age of 15. I would watch her use all these different lotions and potions and ask endless questions about why she needed  so many products. Now, I can see why. My room looks like a mini shop I have that much! Growing up I was very aware of acne and different products to help the issue. My mum was an expert in this area and her clients would see results within months of her advising them on a skincare routine. Let me introduce the most amazing face mask for acne sufferers, Guinot Masque Soin Pur Equilibre. Apply a pea size amount onto a spot or white head and watch it disappear within days. I have a touch of acne on my back and can’t do extractions so I use this mask for about 3 days and it will be gone.  This mask is incredibly strong so just apply onto the problem area and no where else. This is my favourite skincare product and I don’t go anywhere without it.

Guinot skincare products and treatments are available from 160 appointed salons and spas nationwide, including the Guinot/Mary Cohr flagship salon in Greystones, Co Wicklow.

Products retail online at For your nearest stockist, please telephone LoCall 0818 719 303.

Have you tried any of these products, let me know.

Stay Fabulous,

Love Kate x
